Quick Start
- Connect your camera to the computer via USB and turn it on.
- On first launch, choose the software language.
- Select the destination folder for photos.
- G.O.F. WPD automatically detects the camera.
- Photos appear automatically on screen with each shot.
- You can browse photos using the mouse wheel or the keyboard arrow keys.
Main Window
The main window is divided into three areas: the toolbar at the top, the image viewer in the center, and the film strip (thumbnails) on the left.
Toolbar
The toolbar provides access to all main functions of the software.
| 🔄 Refresh | Restarts camera detection if the connection was lost. |
| Folder | Selects the destination folder for photos. |
| Show | Switches between the current session and all photos in the folder. |
| Quick zoom | Click the Quick button to activate the quick zoom. Hold to display the image at 100%. Release to go back. |
| Classic zoom | Adjustable zoom up to 300% with mouse navigation. |
| Focus Peaking | Detects sharp areas by contrast analysis. A tolerance slider adjusts sensitivity. The percentage and number of detected pixels are displayed in the top-left corner of the image. |
| Clipping | Displays blown highlights and underexposed areas in color. When the triangle on the button blinks, it means the current photo contains clipped zones. |
| Grid | Overlays a composition grid (rule of thirds, classic, square, cross). |
| Import | Imports photos from the camera memory card. |
| Full screen | Toggles full screen mode (F11). |
| Log | Shows the real-time debug log. |
Preferences
General
The General tab groups the main settings: destination folder, language, quick zoom level, session organization and quick navigation step.
Focus Peaking
The Focus Peaking tab lets you configure the color, transparency, display mode (fixed or blinking) and noise filter of Focus Peaking.
Clipping
The Clipping tab lets you define the colors and detection thresholds for clipped highlights and shadows.
Grid
The Grid tab lets you choose the default grid color, thickness and type.
Diagnostics
The Diagnostics tab lets you test WPD compatibility and export a diagnostic report.
Import Card
The import window lets you transfer photos from the memory card to the destination folder. You can filter by file type (JPEG, RAW or both) and by period.
Compatibility
G.O.F. WPD uses the Windows Portable Devices (WPD) protocol. If other tethering software has replaced the standard drivers, the compatibility test will guide you to restore them.
